The starting point

My Next Company was an eight-person recruitment business in Belgium, founded and run by Muriel Bragard. Covid hit it hard: turnover dropped significantly, management was stretched, and remote working made it difficult to coach and develop junior consultants.

Muriel wanted more than training. She wanted a clear plan to recover and then grow.

At a glance

  • Recruitment, Belgium
  • Eight people
  • Evaluation, plan, then training
  • Delivered online over 12 weeks

What we did

The work ran in three stages, each agreed with Muriel before it started.

1. Business evaluation

Meetings with Muriel, the investors and every member of the team, then a review of structure, processes, market position, strengths and development opportunities. The findings went into a report with recommendations.

2. Recovery plan

Re-establishing the vision and mission, a specific sales strategy, medium and long-term targets, corrective actions focused on growth and profitability, and a full business plan.

3. Training plan

Delivered online over 12 weeks: a four-part consultant programme, a workshop for the temps desk and a three-part management programme.

What changed

Muriel restructured the business around the plan, and it now trades as ClearSource, specialising in digital and tech recruitment.

In her words

“James helped me restructure my business: he started with a business evaluation, then provided very valuable recommendations and finally put in place a training plan that he successfully delivered… I definitely recommend him for anyone who wants to bring his consultants team to the next level.”
